The world's tallest-dam pumped-storage hydropower plant – the State Grid Xinyuan Jiangsu Jurong Pumped-Storage Power Station – officially entered full commercial operation on October 28, marking a major milestone in grid stability and clean energy integration for the Yangtze River Delta region. Daqo served as a core supplier of high-voltage enclosed busbar systems, which form the electrical backbone of the plant, enabling safe and efficient transmission under demanding operational conditions. With a dam height of 182.3 meters, equivalent to a 60-story building, and total installed capacity of 1.35 gigawatts, the facility ranks among the world's most powerful and technically advanced pumped-storage projects. It provides approximately1.35 terawatt-hours of annual clean electricity, supporting peak shaving, frequency regulation, and renewable energy integration across one of China's most economically dynamic regions.

Daqo's high-voltage enclosed busbar systems were custom-engineered to withstand the complex electrical and environmental challenges of the pumped-storage facility, including frequent load shifts, underground humidity, and electromagnetic interference. The systems help ensure transmission reliability and minimize energy loss across the plant's six generating units.

This project represents another milestone in Daqo's growing portfolio of large-scale clean energy infrastructure. The company has supplied integrated electrical solutions, including busbars, switchgear, transformers, and monitoring systems, to 16 pumped-storage plants and more than 2,000 renewable energy installations worldwide.

Looking ahead, Daqo will continue to expand its technology partnerships and global project footprint, leveraging its comprehensive suite of electrical equipment solutions and expertise in smart energy. The company remains dedicated to advancing the global energy transition by building cleaner, more resilient infrastructure that delivers measurable impact.
