Daqo Group and Huaneng Renewables Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On May 9, Wang Lijun, Chairman of Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited, led a team to Daqo Group Co., Ltd (Daqo Group) for inspection and communication. Xu Xiang, President of Daqo Group, and Zhu Yawei, Vice President of Daqo Group, received and attended the symposium, and the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

   

Chairman Wang Lijun and his delegation visited Daqo Group's digital manufacturing green factory, and went into the production workshops of Jiangsu Daqo Changjiang, Daqo Kfine Switch and Daqo Cubicle Substation to learn about the digital production and processing equipments, processing technology and production scale of gas-insulated switchgear, LV switchgear and box-type transformer substation products. Wang Lijun spoke highly of Daqo Group's adherence to technological innovation, green and intelligent manufacturing, implementation of the Digital Daqo strategy, and its courage to assume the social responsibility of private enterprises.



At the meeting, Xu Xiang, President of Daqo Group, expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Chairman Wang Lijun and his delegation, and introduced the development history of Daqo Group and the innovative achievements made in recent years in the areas of digital product research and development, digital manufacturing, photovoltaic new energy, and hydrogen energy. Daqo Group, with industries covering electrical, new energy, power electronics and intelligent components, is a national large-scale enterprise group, one of the top ten leading enterprises in China's electrical industry, a national innovative enterprise, a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory, and one of the first green factories in China, specializing in the production of a full set of electrical equipment and intelligent components covering the whole industry chain of source, grid, load and storage. Wang Lijun said that with the in-depth promotion of the requirements for high-quality development of new energy, the whole society will accelerate the implementation of green and low-carbon energy transformation, energy saving, carbon reduction and efficiency and other actions. Huaneng Renewables and Daqo Group have been practicing the concept of green development, and the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two sides based on the principle of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation" will be conducive to giving full play to the complementary nature of their respective strengths in different fields, sharing information and seeking common development.



Founded in 2002, Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited is the main force and front-runner in the high-quality development of new energy under China Huaneng, mainly engaged in the investment, construction and operation of new energy projects such as domestic and foreign wind power, photovoltaic power generation, etc. The projects that have been put into operation cover 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, with an installed capacity of more than 30 million kilowatts, and the number of power generation utilized hours and the profitability of the unit kilowatts rank first among the top five new energy companies of the power generation group in China. It has been awarded the title of "A Grade" and advanced enterprise in the performance appraisal of China Huaneng for eleven consecutive years, and has been selected as one of the "Top 500 Global New Energy Enterprises" for nine consecutive years, and will be ranked 126th in the year of 2023.



In the future, both parties will take advantage of their strengths in new energy project development, resource acquisition and product supply, share resources and information, and actively promote the implementation of the strategic cooperation agreement, so as to contribute to China's new energy power construction, and to the realization of the national strategic goals of reaching carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
