In March 17-19th, SOLARCON CHINA 2009 is opened in Shanghai New International Expo Center. This expo is held by SEMI, China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, China Renewable Energy Association, Solar Energy Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Solar Energy Systems Institute of Sun Yat-sen University and Silicon Materials of State Key Laboratory in Zhejiang University. This Expo is the most influential solar photovoltaic technology exhibition in China, showing the entire PV industry, by displaying photovoltaic production equipment, materials, photovoltaic cells, photovoltaic products and components as well as photovoltaic systems engineering, etc. More than 300 exhibitors and 40,000 professionals have been invited. Chongqing Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd., rising rapidly in the polysilicon industry in 2008, also has the invitation.
