Recently, the Gansu Jinta Zhongguang Solar "CSP + PV"pilot project—part of China's second batch of large-scale wind and solar base projects focusing on desert, Gobi, and arid regions—achieved a major milestone, with its 100 MW concentrated solar power (CSP) facility reaching a daily power generation of over 1 million kWh. As the project's core power equipment supplier, Zhenjiang Daqo Intelligent Electric Co., Ltd. ("Daqo Intelligent") has provided crucial support for the stable operation and efficient coordination of the new power system through its independently developed intelligent power equipment.

The project adopts a complementary power generation technology combining solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, achieving 24-hour uninterrupted power supply through a 9-hour molten salt energy storage system, completely overcoming the traditional renewable energy bottleneck of relying on weather conditions. Daqo Intelligent has custom-designed intelligent power distribution equipment for the project, integrating three major advantages: high-efficiency energy conversion, intelligent operation and maintenance, and adaptability to extreme environments, laying a solid foundation for the project to achieve a breakthrough of over one million kilowatt-hours of daily power generation.

This project can supply 1.45 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to the grid annually, saving approximately 480,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.36 million tons. This achievement not only validates the commercial potential of the "solar thermal + photovoltaic" hybrid model but also marks a key step forward for China’s new power systems in areas such as high renewable energy grid integration and multi-energy complementary dispatching.
