Daqo International has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jayme da Costa (JDC), one of Portugal's leading EPC contractors, to deepen cooperation on power infrastructure projects in Portugal.
The agreement builds on existing working relationship under which Daqo has supplied prefabricated substations and oil-immersed transformers for ongoing projects in the Portuguese market. With the MoU now in place, both companies will work within a clearer framework to expand collaboration across future grid and energy infrastructure developments.

As Portugal accelerates grid modernization and renewable energy deployment, project developers and EPC contractors are under increasing pressure to meet demanding technical specifications, shorter delivery timelines, and higher performance standards. In this environment, dependable equipment supply and strong engineering coordination are becoming critical to successful project delivery.
With more than 60 years of manufacturing experience in medium- and low-voltage electrical equipment, Daqo International supports infrastructure partners through integrated manufacturing, global supply chain coordination, and project-focused engineering support. The company works closely with EPC contractors to help deliver consistent quality, predictable lead times, and reliable execution across complex power projects.
Under the new MoU, Daqo International and JDC plan to expand cooperation into a broader range of power and energy applications in Portugal. This is expected to include advanced power distribution solutions and technologies for photovoltaic, energy storage, commercial buildings, and transportation infrastructure projects.
Allen Duan, General Manager of Daqo International, said: "Our cooperation with JDC has been built on real project experience, reliable delivery, and mutual trust. We see ourselves not only as an equipment supplier, but as a long-term project partner supporting engineering, delivery, and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This MoU gives us a strong foundation to support more projects together in Portugal."
Rui Cardoso, General Manager of JDC, said: "Our ongoing cooperation with Daqo has delivered positive results, and we value the company's manufacturing capability, delivery performance, and technical support. By combining Daqo's manufacturing and supply chain capabilities with JDC's local execution experience, we are well positioned to support increasingly complex infrastructure projects in Portugal."
The MoU also reflects Daqo International's growing presence in Europe and its commitment to working closely with local EPC contractors and infrastructure developers. As grid modernization and energy transition projects continue to expand across Europe, the partnership between Daqo and JDC will focus on reliable equipment supply, on-schedule project delivery, engineering coordination, and localized technical support.
